Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ChefsClips (“the Service”), operated by Nova Edge Innovations (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ChefsClips is a mobile application that helps users extract structured recipes from YouTube cooking videos using artificial intelligence. The Service includes:

• AI-powered recipe extraction from YouTube video URLs you submit
• Step-by-step guided cooking with built-in timers
• Smart grocery list generation and management
• Export of shopping lists to Instacart and other formats (text, email)

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ChefsClips. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

You may delete your account at any time through the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or via our account deletion page.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use ChefsClips only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service to scrape, redistribute, or republish recipe content at scale
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Circumvent any rate limits, access controls, or security measures
• Use the Service in any way that infringes on the rights of content creators
• Submit URLs to content that is illegal or violates YouTube's Terms of Service

6. Content & Intellectual Property

ChefsClips does not claim ownership of the cooking videos you submit or the original content created by YouTube creators. Our Service provides a transformative utility layer that generates structured text-based instructions to assist your real-time cooking experience.

• Video Playback: All videos are played through the official YouTube IFrame Player. We do not download, store, or redistribute video files.
• Extracted Recipes: AI-generated recipe data is provided for your personal use only and may not be perfectly accurate. Always use your own judgment when cooking.
• Our Content: The ChefsClips app, brand, design, and code are owned by Nova Edge Innovations and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

7. Third-Party Services

ChefsClips integrates with third-party services. By using these features, you also agree to their respective terms:

• YouTube: Use of ChefsClips constitutes agreement with the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
• Instacart: Shopping list exports to Instacart are subject to Instacart's own terms and conditions.
• Google Play: Subscriptions purchased through Google Play are subject to Google Play's billing terms.

8. Subscriptions & Payments

ChefsClips may offer free and premium subscription tiers. If you subscribe to a paid plan:

• Payments are processed through Google Play and managed by RevenueCat
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store
• Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policy

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

ChefsClips is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• AI-extracted recipes will be 100% accurate or complete
• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Timer suggestions will be perfectly calibrated for your equipment

Always use common sense and food safety best practices when cooking. ChefsClips is a cooking assistant, not a substitute for your own judgment.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nova Edge Innovations shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages related to inaccurate recipe data, cooking outcomes, or third-party service interruptions.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to ChefsClips at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the app or our website.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
